1. The Ultimate Zero-Server Promise

Collecto is built on a foundation of absolute privacy. We have no backend servers. Your data never leaves your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or analyze your personal inventory, receipts, or photos. What happens in Collecto, stays in Collecto.

2. Local Storage & Encryption

SQLCipher Database: Your inventory texts and details are encrypted via GRDB + SQLCipher using AES-256.
iOS Keychain: Cryptographic keys are stored securely in your device's Keychain and cannot be migrated to other devices via backups.
Local Media: Scanned receipts and item photos are saved strictly to your local iOS file system.

3. Biometrics

If you use FaceID or TouchID to lock the app, authentication happens securely via Apple's LocalAuthentication framework.

4. Camera & Vision API

Camera access is required for scanning. Barcode and text recognition (Vision API) processes everything purely on-device.

5. Lifetime Pro (StoreKit)

Purchases are processed securely via Apple's StoreKit 2. We do not have access to your payment information.

6. Data Exports

When you generate a PDF or CSV, you explicitly choose where to save or share it using the standard iOS Share Sheet.

We may update this policy occasionally. Since we have no servers to track you, we'll notify you via an in-app prompt if significant changes occur.
